Hearing Aid Batteries

Most hearing aid batteries today are of the Zinc-Air type. These batteries provide more punch and more life than the older mercury and silver batteries used in the past. When replacing batteries for your hearing aid, use the following chart as a guide:

Hearing Aid Style Battery Size Color Code
Behind-the-Ear (BTE); Cochlear 675 blue
In-the-Ear (ITE) 13 orange
In-the-Canal (ITC) 312 brown
Completely-in-Canal (CIC) 10 yellow
Completely-in-Canal (CIC) 5 red

Note: Cochlear implants require size 675 batteries specially designed for these implants.
